SMCL by its mandates will have unique organizational structure. It will be dynamic in nature depending on the number, size, type and method of mining operations. The method of mining further depends on the adoption of changing technology and processes. Therefore, organizational structure being the main management tool, the success and growth of the company, in the first place, will depend on the way it is structured. Hence, SMCL must be objectively structured by identifying, forming and placing the various functional units in proper hierarchical order to ensure chain of command, authority, information flow and accountability within the company and toward achieving a common goal.
